This year, Sunday, August 29th: The Bridge will once again host our 2nd annual *free public event*, a BBQ and Marriage Equality [ME] Walk 2010
We had over 20+ people attend and although we didn`t have an actual `walk` per se`, we got to talk about the future of The Bridge and where we`re heading, especially in organizing a more intensive grassroots effort to connect those in more isolated areas. We had a great time and we`ll probably do this again every summer! Thank you to Katrina Baxter for helping flip the burgers and turn the dogs! Your contribution didn`t go unnoticed girl! Thank you so much for helping out!

ridge is forward looking, preparing to put together a program: an
"Alternative Prom 2011".
As you all know,
this program is also being offered yearly by Albany`s very own Capital District Gay, Lesbian Community Council (CDGLCC). Working together, more students will now have the ability to attend either one prom or both! We hope many more young people will find this closer to home in northern New York if they have experienced travelling to Albany difficult. This almost a
magical
experience which many of us bowed out, gracefully. Now our graduating youth will have 2 choices at two different locations (TBA), so many will probably go to both! The purpose is to enable as many people as possible to access one or both of Prom nights and feel the magic. And there`s more coming! Click

for more information on how The Bridge is using the grant monies we just received. Join us help grow a community of like-minded people. A community center will surely come, and we need your help and support to make this dream a reality.
